Attendance Matters: Mass
We go to Mass not simply because it's an obligation. Rather, we go to Mass because it's our loving response to the God who has loved us first. Although our school children pray daily and attend Mass each Wednesday, that's not good enough. In the months ahead, Fr. Tom and Mrs. Charron challenge our parents to make a commitment to regularly attend weekend Mass as a family.
Going to Mass becomes increasingly important as kids grow older and face rejection, temptation, and hurt. Being close to God can give them the confidence to stand firm in who they are and what they believe. Now, this does not mean they will not stray. However, we pray that the moral compass (Holy Spirit), will lovingly bring them back.

Attendance Matters: School
Attendance is an essential component to a student’s academic success.  Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools expect an attendance rate of at least 95% for all students, or absenteeism of no more than nine (9) days per school year. Absenteeism can interfere with all aspects of the educational process as well as affect social relationships. While we recognize that some absenteeism is inevitable for various reasons, we strive to monitor the school attendance records to ensure all students receive the maximum benefits and opportunities an education has to offer. Please note, attendance numbers reported do not include Covid related absences (quarantine and/or isolation). Thank you for your support and cooperation!
