🌱 Garden Club in After School Care!
We are excited to offer a Garden Club for After School Care students in Grades 1–6!
Our Garden Club curriculum, Grow Getters, comes from South Dakota State University (SDSU) and provides engaging, hands-on garden-based learning. Students will explore a variety of topics through science, nutrition, literacy, and physical activities, including:
🌱 South Dakota fruits and vegetables
🌱 Seeds and soils
🌱 Pollinators
🌱 Growing and caring for plants
🌱 Harvesting garden produce
When weather permits, students may also take their learning outside for hands-on garden activities.
Thank you to Mrs. Sheri for bringing the Garden Club to SKD. We are excited to give our students the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow!

📚 Big beginnings start with little moments!
A story shared, a song sung, and a new word discovered all help build the foundation for learning. Preschool gives children opportunities to grow their language skills and explore letters and numbers through play.
Discover what that beginning could look like for your child at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools. 💙
Join us for a Preschool Information Session!

🔭 October's Virtue of the Month: Foresight
Foresight is the virtue of thinking ahead and making wise choices today for a better tomorrow.
Whether in the classroom, on the field, or at home, we grow in foresight when we consider the consequences of our actions and seek God’s guidance in our decisions.
We had our Walk In Virtue today! The students enjoyed being outside and eating freeze pops, and we are so grateful for the parents and family who joined us in our walk. We will announce our total amount raised in the next week, but for now, check out this little video to see all the fun your kiddos had this afternoon! 🌞

Yesterday, the 1st Graders had beautiful weather in order for them to measure their shadows and observe how the sun moved throughout the afternoon.
Our 6th Graders "left their mark" today on the HANDS ON LEARNING wall. At the end of the year, they will get to sign their name by their handprint before leaving us for OGJH.
Don't forget to wear jammies to school tomorrow (9/14)!

📖 August/September: Faith, Hope & Love
This year begins with the foundation of the theological virtues: faith, hope, and love.
Faith helps us trust in God’s plan. Hope gives us confidence in His promises. Love calls us to serve God and others with generous hearts.
As we start a new school year, may these virtues guide our words, actions, and relationships each day. ❤️
